Consulting and advisory services
We work with the management of companies (from small to large), government officials and investors, helping them understand and exploit emerging technologies, such as mobile computing, cloud computing and open-source technologies. We understand the technologies, but have a particular focus on their business and economic impact in real-world situations.

Vendor selection / project management and oversight / RFP support
We are proactively identifying which systems integration firms (SIs) – large to small – have genuine experience and competence in executing projects that leverage emerging technologies such as mobile computing, cloud computing and open-source technologies. We work with the IT departments of corporation and government to help them define a project, prepare the RFPs, select a vendor, and monitor the ongoing progress of the project.
Much has been written about the advantages and disadvantages of emerging technologies, such as mobile computing, cloud computing and open-source technologies. Little has been done regarding the economics. We are building data sets on the economics of these technologies, and work with clients to help them assess their economic impact, potential cost savings, and paybacks.
Acquisition / investment screening
We are proactively following and screening companies which are exploiting emerging technologies in innovative ways. We work with venture capital firms in particular, helping them identify potentially interesting investments.
Our team has participated in management meetings and conducted due diligence on hundreds of companies, covering technology, finance, business models, markets and competition. We understand the acquisition and due diligence process and know how to work effectively with venture capital firms, private equity firms, companies pursuing acquisitions, and bankers. We have led acquisitions and investments for major public technology companies, completing transactions ranging in size from a few million to multi-billion, and at times at a rate of over ten completed transactions a year.
We can also help technology companies position themselves to be acquired, and prepare them for due diligence.
